Staying here was a wonderful experience. I loved waking up to the stunning views of the ocean and the countryside surrounding the house. The breakfast was a highlight, especially the homemade pancakes and gluten-free options that catered perfectly to our needs. The owner went above and beyond to assist with reservations, making sure we felt welcomed throughout our stay. It's conveniently located, just a quick drive from the beach and several attractions, which made exploring the area super easy.

The location was perfect, just a short drive to the beach and surrounded by beautiful countryside views. The room was well-maintained with unique decor, and the family atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
The only downside was that the mattress was a bit too soft for my liking.

A delightful countryside escape
I woke up to the aroma of Irene’s homemade wheaten bread wafting through the air, a precursor to the delightful breakfast spread. The attention to detail was impeccable, and our hosts made us feel like part of the family.
The only downside was that the mattress was a bit too soft for my liking, leading to some discomfort during our stay. it didn’t overshadow the overall experience.

Outstanding hospitality and delicious breakfasts
I had an amazing stay with my family. the breakfasts were a particular highlight with Irene’s homemade pancakes and gluten-free options that were some of the best we've had. The views from our room were breathtaking, and Sean went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout our visit. I really wish we could’ve stayed longer to explore more of the area!

Delightful gardens with stunning views of Lough Foyle enhance the experience. The breakfast selection showcases homemade items, including the noteworthy Wheaton bread.
Some rooms, particularly those at the top, can feel cramped due to low ceilings, which might not suit taller guests. The house's location, while scenic, isn't within walking distance of the town, requiring a vehicle for access to local attractions. Amenities like the kitchen could use additional utensils for cooking groups effectively, which may limit convenience during meals.

Carnalbanagh House Bed & Breakfast provided an exceptional experience during my two-night stay. The hosts were incredibly attentive, ensuring all our needs were met. The breakfast menu featured a wide selection of delicious, freshly made meals, including an impressive range using homemade and organic ingredients. Our room was comfortable and well-equipped, offering stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere, enhanced by the surrounding countryside.
The only downside was that access to local attractions required a vehicle.

The supposed lovely setting didn’t compensate for the lack of anything exciting, like highland cows. breakfast was decent, but honestly how hard is it to get a simple welcome snack? i was just another regular guest, no special treatment whatsoever. hence, i woudl ve been better elsewhere. just couldn’t give more than this.
